Baby Paint N' Play - Wellandport Branch

A 6-week art program for infants and toddlers that incorporates movement, colour, and making lasting memories! Recommended for children ages 6 mos to 23 mos. Registration required.

Music & Movement - Smithville Branch

Thursdays @ 10:30am; September 19 to October 24

A 6-week story time program for young children that incorporates movement games alongside early literacy to help develop better physical awareness, improve gross and fine motor skills and learn how to navigate social movement relationships. Recommended for children ages 3 to 5. Registration required.

Story Time Baskets

Each basket includes craft materials and instructions on how to conduct your own DIY story time while at the Library. Available at all branches starting September 3rd.

100 books before Kindergarten logo

1000 Books Before Kindergarten

Attention parents and caregivers: join this growing movement to read every child 1,000 books before kindergarten. Reading to your infant/toddler/child teaches vocabulary, introduces the connection between pictures and words and creates lasting bonds. Register at any Branch to begin your journey. We‘ll keep a log of the number of books read and offer incentives along the way.

Firefighter Storytime - Smithville Branch

Thursday October 10 @ 11:00am

October 6th to the 12th is Fire Prevention Week and to raise awareness we will have fire safety book displays and safety swag available at all locations. Drop-in on the 10th for story time with local firefighter John Vajda, from our very own West Lincoln Fire Department. Fire truck tours will be available following story time. Drop-in.

Story Skate - Community Centre Arena

Tuesdays @ 11:00am; September 10 to November 26

Enjoy this free movement-based short story time on the ice that includes music, dancing and fun props. Parental supervision is mandatory. Recommended for ages 3-5. Registration required.
